About me

I am Josef, a PhD candidate in the NETMON laboratory at FIT CTU in Prague. I work in the field of network traffic monitoring and analysis. Right now, I am primarily interested in network traffic monitoring and classification using time series analysis, statistics in the field of computer networks, and the application of machine learning in the same field.

I also teach Computer Networks and Computer Networks Technologies for undergrads, and I am the lector of Basic Python and Data Science courses at FEL CTU. Additionally, I serve as the President of IEEE Student Branch for CTU, Czechoslovakia Section, and as a Senator in the Academic Senate at Faculty of Information Technology CTU in Prague.

What I'm working on

  • Network Traffic Forecasting

Developing advanced time series models for predicting network traffic patterns in ISP networks.

  • Anomaly Detection

Using time series analysis and machine learning to detect network anomalies in ISP networks.

  • Traffic Clustering

Clustering and classification of network traffic time series for better understanding of network behavior.

  • Teaching & Mentoring

Educating students in computer networks, Python programming, and data science at CTU in Prague.
